amy is 12 yrs old and in 1997 was diagnoesd with a rare brain tumour called anyplastic ependymoma after her 1st op we wer given the devastating news tha the tumour was a rare form of cancer since her 1st op we have had so much bad news after bad news & amy has now had 4 surgeries wen she was 1st diagnosed she was givin a full bout of radiotherapy evryday for 6 wks she has also had chemo then the end of las yr 08 we wer told she had 2 have anutha full bout of radiotherapy for 6 wks wich is a trial that they are doing in america and amy was picked for it here the radiotherapy can cause side effects tha r unknown bcos not many children have had a 2nd bout we prayed 2 god amy would get well soon but at christmas amy had been in pain since new yrs eve with her leg & the pain spread up her bck and her arm and side after taking her crying in pain 2 hospital 4 times they finally admitted her even tho my sis kept saying ther is something really wrong bcos even after her surgeries she doesnt cry with pain they finally admitted her wen she had her scan on thurs 19/2/09 we wer given the worrying news that ther are many changes 2 amys spine so on fri she was taken 2 surgery 4 a lumberpuncture an 2 have some bone marrow taken so they can check 2 c if its her cancer was back or sumthin else on monday we got the results an amy was booked in 4 a complete body and bone scan 2 c if any of her other bones are affected. amy had been on chemo sinvce she left hopital an had anutha bone scan on the 9th june we got r results we r praying so hard 4 r miracle amy was sick yesterday 10th june throwing up and has been complaining of pains in her side she is such a brave lil girl. 08/07/09 amy had been in so much pain the lasweek its been so hard not bein able 2 make her betta or take the pain away we went 2 alderhey this morn an she had a platelet & blood transfusion (1 unit) & then we went 2 clatterbridge they have decided 2 giv her a blast of radiotherapy 2 her knee cos the pain ther is so bad she cant bare it the poor thing an no pain relief is easing it then we gotta go back 2 alderhey in the morning for another 2 units of blood then 2 clatterbridge 4 her radio we ope it eases her painbut THE SADDEST DAY OF ALL OUR LIVES WAS THE 20.09.2009 AT 3.30 PM OUR GORGEOUS AMY LOUISE LOST HER FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL AND WE ARE SO PROUD OF THE AMMOUNT OF COURAGE AND THE AMMOUNT OF DETERMINATION SHE SHOWED TO STAY WITH US. AMY, OUR ANGEL OUR PRINCESS OUR SHINING STAR LIFE WILL NEVER BE THE SAME WITH OUT YOU WE ARE THE PROUDEST FAMILY IN THE WORLD TO HAVE HAD YOU IN OUR LIVES XXXXXXXXXXXX
